CHITTAGONG: A person was killed and another injured as a truck knocked down a rickshaw-van on Shershah road in Bayezid Thana area of the port city on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Md. Jahangir Alam, 30, driver of the rickshaw-van and son of Mannan Howlader of Barisal district.
Habilder of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMC) police outpost Shahabuddin told banglanews, “A truck hit a rickshaw-van in the area around 9:30pm, leaving it’s driver and helper critically injured.”
They were rushed to emergency department of CMCH where duty doctor declared Jahangir dead.
