CHITTAGONG: Police held one person raiding in Shah Pari Island near Cox’s Bazar early Saturday for his alleged involvement in Himu murder case.
The detainee was identified as Shahadat Hossain Saju, 27.
Assistant commissioner of Metropolitan detective branch Tanvir Arafat told banglanews, “We held Saju Saturday from the area. Earlier, we raided in different areas from Thursday where he was absconding.”
Tanvir Arafat informed the journalists that the other accused will be held soon.
Himadri Majumdar Himu succumbed to his injuries on May 23 in the city’s Square Hospital 26-day after his friends, beating him mercilessly and unleashing three dogs on him, pushed him down from the 4th floor of Farhad Mansion in Panchlaish Residential Area of Chittagong.
