DHAKA: A four-day film festival will begin June 4 at the auditorium of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Dhanmondi.
Organised by the Russian cultural centre, the festival will mark Russian Language Day and the birth anniversary of the eminent Russian author Alexander Pushkin.
The organisers will screen ‘The Captivating Star of Happiness’ (1975) directed by Vladimir Motyl at 6:30pm on the inaugural day.
The film ‘Ilya Muromets’ (1956) directed by Alexander Ptushko will be screened at 6:30pm on June 6.
Alexander Ptushko’s ‘Ruslan and Ludmila’ (1972) will be screened at 5:00pm on June 8 while his ‘The Tale of Tsar Saltan’ (1966) will be screened at the same time on the next day.
The shows will remain open to all.
