DHAKA: Two separate Dhaka Courts on Tuesday granted bail to the music director Shawkat Ali Emon in two cases.
Metropolitan Magistrate Joynab Begum bailed him out upon a bond of Tk 10,000 in a case filed in connection with inflicting torture a girl while another Metropolitan Magistrate Md. Mostafizur Rahman granted bail in drug case.
Emon’s lawyer Mahbub Ali Joy confirmed it to banglanews.
Advocate Gazi Shah Alam moved for the defendant in the bail plea hearing.
On Saturday, a Dhaka Court sent Emon to jail after one day remand.
Earlier, Ramna Thana police arrested Imon following complaint from his girl friend Jinat Kabir.
