Stocks witness gain Tuesday

DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Tuesday.

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index rose over 39 points to stand at 4,048 at the close on the third trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 62 064 with transaction at Tk 1,602 million. Of the issues traded, 218 advanced, 45 declined and 5 remained unchanged.

UNITEDAIR the turnover list with shares worth Tk 98 million have changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were UNIQUEHRL, ENVOYTEX,  GENNEXT, NBL, BSCCL, UCBL, AIMS1STMF, RNSPIN and ISLAMIBANK.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 7,910 by gaining over 93 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 117 gained, 35 declined and eight remained unchanged.
