School boy “commits” suicide in city

DHAKA : A 14-year-old school boy allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his house in city’s Mirpur area Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Sajib Ahmed, son of Sadek Mia, hailed from Narsingdi district, was a student of class-III.

Mother of the deceased Josna Begum told banglanews that she scolded him on Friday night for associating with bad boys of the locality.

“We found him hanged with ceiling fan of his room in the morning,” he said.

Officer-in-Charge of Mirpur Thana Kazi Wajed Ali said, “Police sent the body to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.”

An unnatural death case was filed in this connection, he added.
