Russia keen to train up BD engineers

DHAKA: Russia has shown keen interest to train up the nuclear energy plant project engineers of the country.

The Russian Ambassador to Dhaka, Alexander A Nikolaev, expressed his country’s interest in this regard while he made a courtesy call on Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid at secretariat.

The Russian envoy also discussed bilateral issues, including scholarship-grants for the Bangladeshi students, who are studying in Russia, and enormous student exchange between two countries.

During the meeting, Education Minister expressed his gratefulness for the former USSR contribution in the Liberation War.

The minister also thanked Russia for their collaboration in education to Bangladesh.
