DHAKA: Opposition BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir alleged that the government is liable for the fire and deaths in Ashulia.
He came up with the allegation in a press conference held at party’s central office in city’s Naya Paltan area Sunday.
Over Chittagong Flyover collapse, Mirza Fakhrul said, “LGRD minister in a visit to the flyover told that the guarder wasn’t strong enough; but none paid heed to his word. But that guarder caused the accident and took away 13 lives.”
“The construction work of Tk 100 crore Flyover was given to a Awami League leader and so the government can’t avoid its liability of causalities,” he added.
He also said that life and assets of countrymen have no security in Awami League tenure.
