ULAB holds freshers’ orientation

DHAKA: University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) organized its summer freshers’ orientation 2012 on Sunday at its Dhanmondi campus in the city.

Emphasizing ULAB`s missions of sustainability, active learning and liberal arts practice, the orientation consisted of mixed media and video presentations about ULAB`s mission, code of conduct, handbook, library, career service center and other facilities.

Quiz games were sprinkled throughout presentations to encourage learning through fun.

Later, the formal part of the ceremony was held with the theme of “Truth."

ULAB Vice Chancellor Professor Imran Rahman addressed the students to reach this truth through knowledge and welcomed the students and then introduced the heads of each department.

Heads of Departments Dr. Mohit Ul Alam, Dr. Jude Genilo, and Dr. Sazzad Hossain, and senior faculties were present in the programme.

Later in the day, a student band concert was arranged to welcome the freshers to the university.
