SYLHET: Criticizing the incumbent government, Workers’ Party President Rashed Khan Menon categorically said the government did file any case against Hall-Mark Group in one and half months in spite of looting huge amount of money.

“The government has hiked power price unusually. The oil and gas of the country are being handed over to the foreign countries and millions of investors lost everything through share-market scam,” he said.

The lawmaker came up with the allegation while addressing a programme of Juba Union district conference held at Zilla Parishad Auditorium in the city Tuesday.

He also alleged that the multilevel marketing (MLM) companies of the country, including Destiny and Unipay2U are looting crores of money.

Regarding the role of 14-party to strengthen the grand-alliance, he said, “There is no role of the 14-party in this regard.”

The programme was also addressed, among others, by Workers’ Party Member Sikander Ali, Sylhet district secretary Abdul Hossain and Jaba Union general secretary Mostafa Alamgir Raton.
