DHAKA: BNP led 18-party alliance is set to stage rally in front of BNP’s central office at 10:00am on Sunday in protest of cases filed against alliance leaders including BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
On Monday the alliance will also stage countrywide protest rally on the same issue.
The decision was taken in a meeting of secretary general level of 18-party alliance on Friday morning.
Earlier on April 30, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir among a number of alliance leaders were sued for their alleged involvement in cocktail explosion at secretariat, vehicle vandalism and arson in PM office area during Sunday’s dawn-to-dusk hartal.
