26 city Shibir leaders held

DHAKA: Detective Branch of Police, in nightlong drives, held president and secretary of city unit of Chhatra Shibir including its’ 12 thana unit presidents and secretaries.

Shibir’s publicity secretary Abu Saleh confirmed it to banglanews.

He said, “DB police held city unit president Sazzad Alam Khan on Thursday evening. Later, secretary also was held after calling him from president’s cell phone.”

Then, the law enforcers called presidents and secretaries of the party’s 12 thana units presidents and secretaries over cell phones of city unit president and secretary and held them also.

Sources concerned said recent attacks on law enforcers launched by Chhatra Shibir men were occurred in west side of the capital city.  So, DB police arrested the Shibir leaders of the west side.
