DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses is underway showing antipathy in share-price indices on Thursday.
The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index shed over 42 points minus to stand at 4241 at 1:11 pm on the last trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 31, 988 with transaction at Tk 864 million. Of the issues traded, 41 advanced, 178 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
The turnover leaders are SOCIAL ISLAMI BANK LIMITED, UNIQUE HOTEL & RESORTS LIMITED, BANGLADESH SUBMARINE CABLE COMPANY, GRAMEENPHONE LTD, NBL, LAFARGE SURMA CEMENT LTD., MEGHNA PETROLEUM LIMITED, BEXIMCO, LANKABANGLA FINANCE LTD and AFTAB AUTOMOBILES.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8201 by dropping over 54 points at 1:23 am.
The trade volume stands at TK 124 milion.
Of the issues traded, 23 advanced, 109 declined and 26 unchanged
