DHAKA: BNP standing Committee member MK Anwar said the present government is filing false cases against opposition BNP in order to make the party leaderless.
He said, “No government can stop lawful movements by filing false cases. Our movement will be stronger day by day.”
He came up with the remarks while talking to journalists after visiting BNP chief Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan party office at about 10:30pm.
They discussed about the present political situation of the country during the meeting.
Earlier, MK Anwar was released from central jail on a High Court bail on Monday evening.
He said, “We are going to stage tougher movement if the other detained leaders, including party’s secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir are not released.”
“BNP will continue their demonstration in order to meet the demands of people,” he added.
