NOAKHALI : Three people were killed and two others injured in separate road accidents in Begumganj and Sonaimuri upazilas on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Nur Alam, 18, son of Habil Mia of Shinghapara village under Matiranga Thana of Khagrachhari, Md. Sohel, 28, son of Chirag Ali of Mukulla village and an auto rickshaw driver and Kiran, 40, son of Abdur Rahman of the same village under Sonaimuri Thana.
Begumganj model Thana SI Shahinuzzaman told banglanews, “A truck rammed a boy while he was distributing leaflets of herbal product company in Begamganj crossing around 8:30am, leaving him dead on the spot.”
Police rushed in and sent the body to Noakhali Medical College hospital morgue for autopsy.
Police seized the truck but the drive fled away.
Sonaimuri Thana SI Mahbub told banglanews, “Two people were killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between a CNG-run auto rickshaw and a microbus near late Torab Ali Chairman Bari on Sonaimuri-Ramganj road.”
On information, police rushed in and sent the bodies to Noakhali Medical College hospital morgue.
Injured Shiraj and Taslima were admitted to Sonaimuri health Complex in a critical condition.
