DHAKA: The authority of permanent mission of Bangladesh to the United Nations observed the National Mourning Day and the 37th martyrdom anniversary of Bagabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Friday.
Permanent mission of Bangladesh to the United Nations and office of consulate general jointly organized a programme marking the day at the Bangladesh Mission auditorium on Friday evening.
The programmes included special doa mahfil, discussion meeting, narration from holy Quran and iftar party.
Among others, Bangladesh Permanent Representative to the UN Dr Momen, editor of a Bangla newspaper Kousik Ahmed, journalist Syed Mahmood Ullah and cultural personality Belal Beg spoke on the occasion.
