DHAKA: BNP Standing Committee Member Tariqul Islam categorically said that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia hadn’t join politics for flattering.
“She (Khaleda) never did anything sacrificing the national interest,” Tariqul added.
Tariqul came up with his observation while visiting ailing educationist Professor Dr Emazuddin Ahmed at capital’s Square Hospital on Friday.
Talking to the journalists, he also urged the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to talk politely.
“PM is using harassing and indecent words”, alleged Tariqul, also the coordinator of the opposition BNP in absence of acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
PM on Thursday said that opposition leader Begum Khaleda Zia went to India for oiling to assume power.
