DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses is underway showing antipathy in share-price indices on Wednesday.
The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index shed over 37 points minus to stand at 4121 at 12:20 pm on the fourth trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 28760 with transaction at Tk 862 million. Of the issues traded, 66 advanced, 148 declined and 16 remained unchanged.
BSCCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 56 million having changed hands during the time.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 7,991 by dropping over 64 points at 12:23 pm.
Out of the issues traded, 27 gained, 105 declined and 13 remained unchanged.
Earlier in the morning, trading resumed in Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) after a day’s suspension due to technical problems at Central Depository Bangladesh Limited (CDBL).
