DHAKA: Ruling Awami League joint secretary general Mahbub-Ul Alam Hanif stated that police might held opposition BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
“Government can arrest anyone if he/she violates law as no one is above the law,” he added.
He came up with the observation while addressing an anti-hartal rally in front of party’s central office at city’s Bangabandhu Avenue Tuesday.
Indicating Khaleda Zia, Hanif said, “BNP has to take the liabilities for the ongoing countrywide anarchy.”
Mentioning Fakhrul’s arrest was right, he again said that Fakhrul has to take the liabilities of the countrywide vandalism and arson in the name blockade.
He also urged BNP to join parliament.
