CHITTAGONG : Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) personnel seized substantial amount of fuel oil from Jelepara area under Bandar Thana of the port city on Sunday morning.
Zonal Commander of Chittagong Coast Guard told banglanews that, acting on tip-off, a joint patrol team of BCG Eastern Zone CG base section and CG Outpost Patenga Contingent conducted a drive and seized the fuel from the area while it was ready to haul through the Bay of Bengal.
The recovered fuel includes 4,800 liters diesel and 410 liters lubricant oil which is worth Tk 611,200, Coast Guard sources said.
