DHAKA: The popular daily Bangladesh Protidin, an outlet of East West Media Group, honoured four noted personalities for their outstanding contributions in respective fields.
They are Language veteran Abdul Matin, journalist ABM Musa, actor Razzak and Professor Dr Pran Gopal Datta.
Former Chief Justice Mostafa Kamal honoured them with a crest and a cheque of TK 1 lakh each in a programme held at East West Media Group conference centre in city’s Bashundhara Residential Area.

Language Movement veteran Matin said, “We have to be Bengali in our thoughts, minds and works as the more we become Bengali with our thoughts, the more we will become great as nation.”
Professor Dr Pran Gopal Datta said, “For a doctor, hospital is temple and patients are their god and I would request the doctors to keep it in mind while working.”
“Those who were honoured today are the proud of Bangladesh”, said Imdadul Haq Milon.

Earlier on March, Bangladesh Protidin Editor Nayem Nizam declared the names of four personalities to give the Bangladesh Protidin Sammanana-2012.
