Construction worker dies in city

DHAKA: A construction worker died as an iron pipe fell on his head in city’s west Uttara area on Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Azizul Islam, 28, son of Shamsuddin, of Haluaghat area in Mymensingh.

Witnesses said suddenly an iron pipe fell on the head of Azizul around 9am while he was working at an under-construction building, injuring him critically.

Azizul was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s emergency unit where he succumbed to his injuries around 10:30am.
