SYLHET: A Jatiya Party’s Central Organizing Secretary Abdullah Siddiqi’s son was stabbed to death by some unidentified assailants in Kharadipara area in Shibganj upazila on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Mehrab Siddiqi Shajib, 22, an architect engineer by profession.
Sources said assailants stabbed Mehrab near his house in Kharadipara area around 8:30pm, injuring him critically.
Later, he succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital. JP Metropolitan Joint Secretary Nazmul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Confirming the matter Shah Paran Thana OC Liakat Ali told banglanews, “His body was taken to Osmani Medical College Hospital around 9pm.”
He said, “The motive behind the murder could not be known immediately.”
Meanwhile, a source said the incident took place over previous feud.
