NILPHAMARI: A railway official was crushed under the wheels of a train at Saidpur Railway Station in the district on Friday noon.
The deceased was identified as Khairat Hossain, 57, assistant station master of the rail station, son of Abdul Karim, hailed from Dararpar village under Jahanarabad area of Parbatipur Upazila.
Local sources said, locals found his split body in the station at around 9:00am.
Saidpur GRP Thana Officer-in-Charge Guljar Hossain told banglanews that police sent the body to Nilpahamri morgue and an unnatural death case was filed in this connection.
