DHAKA: Investors saw gain in benchmark indices of the country’ bourses on Sunday.
The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index rose over 94 points to stand at 4236 million at the close on the first trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 107,055 with transaction at Tk 3,777 million.
Of the issues traded, 203 advanced, 41 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
Of the issues traded, 179 advanced, 60 declined and 11 remained unchanged.
MPETROLEUM topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 243 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were JAMUNA OIL, BSCCL, RNSPIN, TITASGAS, UNIQUEHRL, KEYACOSMET, GP, SUMITPOWER and UNITEDAIR.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,152 by gaining over 174 points.
Out of the issues traded, 138 gained, 38 declined and 9 remained unchanged.
On Wednesday last, the benchmark indices of DSE and CSE rose 50 and 98 points respectively.
