DHAKA: The nation is observing mourning day Tuesday in memory of the people killed in Ashulia RMG factory fire and Chittagong flyover-girder collapse.
National flags have been hoisted half-mast at all government and non-government organizations marking the day.
As per Monday’s announcement of the government, all garment factories across the country remain closed on the day.
Earlier on Saturday evening, a devastating fire broke out at a garments factory of Toba Group at Ashulia under Savar upazila claiming 112 lives.
Besides, at least 15 persons were killed as a girder of an under construction flyover had collapsed in Chittagong on the same day.
