4 Bangladeshis killed

DHAKA: Four Bangladeshi workers were killed in a road crash in east coast town of Khuwaymah, 500-km east to Muscat, the capital of Oman.

The accident took place in the wee hours of Monday as the truck driver carrying 18 (Bangladeshi as well as Indian) workers lost control over its steering and hit iron road barriers.

A spokesperson for the Royal Oman Police’s Public Relations Department told this to Gulf News.

The bodies of the deceased Bangladeshi workers were transferred to the ROP Hospital morgue in Muscat.

The injured were first taken to the nearby Jalan Bani Bu Ali Hospital.

Out of 12 injured, six were transferred to Sur Hospital. Of them, three including two Bangladeshis are in critical condition, hospital sources said.
