Nilphamari: Nilphamari district judge Jeb-un-Nessa sentenced three illegal drug traders including a husband and wife to life in jail on Wednesday.
They were Aslam Hossain (35), son of Alauddin of Syedpur Upazila of Nilphamari district and his wife Rana Begum and her brother Alam Hossian (25) of the same Upazila.
According to the case description, sub-inspector of Syedpur circle`s narcotics department Anwarul Karim operated a drive on November 7 in 2008 at Aslam`s house on secret information.
Aslam fled during the drive but her wife Rana Begum got arrested.
Thirty one bottles of phensidyl were seized.
Anwarul Karim filed a case on the day. The case number was 8.
