DHAKA: Opposition BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia left the capital for Chittagong Saturday morning to distribute relief among flood victims in the district.
Khaleda Zia is expected to reach Chittagong at about 3pm.
The decision came from an urgent meeting of city BNP leaders in the morning.
According to meeting source, the opposition chief will distribute relief goods among the distressed family members of Akbar Shah Colony landslide victims.
Later, she will distribute relief among flood victims of Chandgaon area at about 5pm, said party source.
She is set to leave Chittagong for Feni on Sunday morning and distribute relief among flood victims.
