DHAKA: Australia is keen to import more products from Bangladesh due to quality and relatively low price than the world market.
Greg Wilcock, new Australian High Commissioner to Bangladesh came up with the statement while paying a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Tuesday.
Thanking Australia for its contribution in manpower development sector of Bangladesh, Dipu urged the diplomat to utilize the high potentiality of trade and investment between two countries.
In reply, the High Commissioner said Australia considers Bangladesh as the biggest investment region especially in energy sector.
Australia is also interested to aid Bangladesh in its healthcare and education sectors and climate crisis issue, Greg added.
