DHAKA: Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd organized a workshop for the engineers as part of their collaborative learning programme called ‘Creators Who Dream Large’ Wednesday, said a press release.
The objective of the workshop is to foster exchange of knowledge and expertise in the field of construction and help unleash the future potential of Bangladesh.
The workshop on ‘Concrete for Durable Construction’ was conducted by guest speaker, Professor Dr M Shamim Z Bosunia, a former BUET professor and a nationally recognized concrete expert.
He said, “It’s high time that such interactive sessions with senior engineers took place in our country to facilitate knowledge sharing amongst them and also gain knowledge of global practices that will add value towards the construction of modern Bangladesh.”
The workshop was inaugurated by Masud Khan, Finance Director of Lafarge Surma Cement who talked about how Lafarge Surma Cement can add value by sharing Lafarge best practices with the professional engineers.
Engineers are contributing immensely in the construction growth of Bangladesh and our objective is to be a part of this growth, by lending our global expertise and working collaboratively with them in building a more sustainable Bangladesh.
As part of this programmme, Lafarge Surma Cement will organize a series of workshops throughout the year, each focusing on a different yet vital element of construction.
Participants of the workshop included Engineers from distinguished real estate firms like BTI Ltd, Bay Developments, Dom-Inno, ANZ Properties and Trust Alliance Technology Ltd.
