DHAKA: Home Minister Advocate Sahara Khatun started visiting city markets Thursday to have a firsthand view of the law-and-order situation of the capital ahead of the upcoming Eid festival.
The minister first visited Eastern Plaza Shopping Complex at about 11:30am.
During her visit, she talked with the businessmen and asked them whether they are facing any extortion.
Higher officials of police accompanied the internal security minister during the spot inspection.
Later, the minister will visit Eastern Mollika and Rapa Plaza shopping complexes of the capital.
