CHITTAGONG: Prizes and certificates of Bashundhara Cement Children Drawing Competition-2012, marking 41 years of independence, were given to the winners from different districts of Chittagong (Ctg) division Friday.
Ctg mayor Mohammad Monjur Alam was present in the programme as chief guest and handed over the prizes and certificates to the little champs at Sea World of Foy’s Lake.
Lauding Bashundhara Group (BG) for such type of initiative, Mayor Monjur said, “BG is helping to industrialize the country by setting up new new industries, as well as working for developing the country.”
I will help to my best for Bashundhara Cement in Ctg markets and I hope guardians of the participants of the competition will also help for its publicity, he added.
BG Deputy General Manager (Shipping & Logistics) Asif Chowdhury said, “BG took the initiative of the competition to inform the new generation about the liberation and the participants proved themselves by drawing map of the country on national flag.”
Qouing Nepolian, he also thanked the mother attended the programme.
BG Brand Manager M Shamim Al Mamun said, “BG is aimed for the welfare of country and countrymen, and some 4,000 drawing were being submitted from across the country in the competition.”
Chief Marketing Officer of Bashundhara Cement M Saiful Islam Helali said, “BG has arranged the competition as a part of corporate social responsibility and we are successful in this regard as Bashundhara Cement has taken place in people’s heart before coming to the market.”
Bashundhara Group (BG) has organized the contest in eight divisional towns of the country.
The final round will be held at the Bashundhara Convention Centre in capital’s Bashundhara residential area.
