LALMONIRHAT: Import and export through the Burimari land port will remain suspended for 10 days due to the Eid-ul-fitr and 37th martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The land port will remain closed from August 15 to 24.
Assistant revenue officer of Burimari port Quamaruzzaman said, “Activities at the land port will remain suspended for 10 days from August 15 to 24 due to various religious and national holydays.”
Meanwhile, the Indian and Bhutanese traders have already been informed about the closer through Burimari C&F Agent Association, he informed.
The authorities of Changrabanda land port in India and Fullceilling land port in Bhutan were requested to halt their trans-border trade during the vacation, says Burimari C&F Agent Association convener Ruhul Amin.
