DHAKA: Opposition BNP Standing Committee Member Nazrul Islam Khan categorically said the government doesn’t think about the people of the country as they would not cast vote for the incumbent government.
He came up with the statement in a seminar organized by National People’s Party (NPP) at the National Press Club conference lounge on Sunday evening.
Nazrul Islam Khan said, “The Awami League government is corrupted and the most corrupted person former communication minister Abul Hossain was termed as country lover.”
He added: “The government doesn’t think about the interest of the people because they don’t have any headache about the price-hike of fertilizers, electricity, gas and other daily essentials.”
Besides, he said such attitude of the government has led to more rallies and meeting called by the 18-party alliance.
Nazrul Islam said, “They are playing with the people’s money by putting an ignorant person in the post of the Bank Director. We hear about similar incident like Hall-Mark every day.”
With Sheikh Shawkat Hossain Nilu in the chair, the programme was also addressed, among others, by BNP Law Affairs Secretary Babu Nitai Roy Chowdhury, NDP Secretary General Alamgir Majumder and Bangladesh NAP General Secretary Golam Mostafa.
