DHAKA: State Minister for Law Advocate Quamrul Islam Friday said the language of opposition leader Khaleda Zia’s remark on 13 th amendment of the constitution is bitter and equivalent to sedition.
He came up with the assertion while addressing a discussion at National Press Club organized by Bangabandhu Academy in the morning.
Quamrul advised Khaleda to file review petition if she hurt over the verdict.
“Khaleda unveiled her fascist character through remarked at ‘Next election sans caretaker government system will be protested’,” he said.
He stressed that the people of the country would not allow any evil force to assume power.
Industries Minister Dilip Barua told opposition party, “CG system now remained at museum. The system would not be restored through any kind of movement.”
With Bangabandhu Academy president Mozaffar Hossain Paltu in the chair, the discussion was also addressed, among others, by Dhaka City Awami League joint convener Hazi Selim, Chhatra League former vice-president Golam Sarwar Kabir Fayez Uddin Mia.
