DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Thursday granted a 10-day remand to Amir Hossain, the prime accused of schoolboy Parag abduction.
The court of Judicial Magistrate Tazul Islam passed the order when South Keraniganj Thana Inspector M Monirul Islam produced Amir before the court with a 12-day remand plea.
On November 24, Amir was injured in a shootout with Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Branch of police at Gazipur.
Amir is now detained in Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) prison cell.
On November 10, kidnappers opened fire aiming at Parag’s mother and two sisters, and the driver of their family car in Shuvadya Paschim Para area of Keraniganj of Dhaka, and kidnapped Parag.
Later, a 48-member team of DB Police rescued abducted schoolboy Parag Mondol raiding in Atipara area of Keraniganj on Tuesday late night.
Later on Thursday, RAB held six more suspected persons from different parts of the city for their alleged involvement in Parag abduction.
