DHAKA: The journalist community of the country has postponed the programme of information ministry siege on May 27 demanding 8th wage board.
A press release of Sangbadik Sramik Karmachari Oikya Parishad disclosed the matter Saturday.
The press release reads that the decision to postponed the programme was taken in a meeting of Sangbadik Sramik Karmachari Oikya Parishad (SSKOP) following a announcement of Information Ministry to take effective steps in forming 8th wage board.
The release also reads, SSKOP will siege the ministry on May 31 if the 8th wage board is not announced by May 30.
The journo community will also observe work abstain from 10:00am to 3:00pm on the day.
With President of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury in the chair, the meeting was also attended, among others, by, Ruhul Amin Gazi, Abdul Jalil Bhuiyan, Omar Faruk, Matiur Rahman Talukder, Kamal Uddin and Khairul Islam.
