FARIDPUR: The government will open web portal for the country’s 24,598 offices to provide public services through internet.
Information Communications and Technology (ICT) Secretary M Nazrul Islam Khan made the disclosure Thursday.
He was inaugurating a workshop on introduction of m-banking at the Union Information Service Centres (UISCs) held at Deputy Commissioner’s office.
The web portals with a free-web hosting by the government are being developed under the National Portal Framework in all government offices across the country.
Effective and useful e-services will be made available for the remote villagers to implement the vision of ‘Digital Bangladesh’ said Nazrul Islam Khan (NI Khan) who is also the National Project Director (NPD) of Access to Information (A2I) programme.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the entrepreneurs of Union Information Service Centre (UISC) and Mercantile Bank to introduce m-banking at the 79 UISCs of the district.
