DHAKA: A Kolkata-bound fight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines returned at Shahjalal International Airport due to technical fault after two hours of flying.
The airbus A-310 left Dhaka for Kolkata at 10:15am. The pilot noticed that landing gear of airbus is not working before landing at Kolkata airport.
He immediately changed its course and returned Dhaka. The flight made an emergency landing at Shahjalal International Airport at about 12:00 noon through alternative system, source said.
Regarding the matter, Chief Engineer of Biman Debabrata Banik told banglanews, “It is not emergency landing.”
The pilot landed his flight through alternative method. “We are trying to repair it as soon as possible,” he said.
Another flight is being arranged to send the Kolkata-bound passengers, Biman sources said.
