KUSHTIA: A disabled woman was killed and 35 others injured in a clash between two groups of villagers in Kumarkhali upazila of the district centering past feud on Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as Nazma Khatun, 22, wife of late Abdul Bakar of Gobra Chandpur village.
Officer-in-Charge of Kumarkhali Thana Abdur Razzak told banglanews, “Two-days ago, the groups collided with each other when a youth threw ice-cream on a girl of the same village.”
He said, “They locked in clash with local arms over the feud around 8:00pm on the day, leaving Nazma dead on the spot and 35 injured.”
Besides, some houses were looted during the clash.
On information, police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. Additional police personnel were deployed in the area to avoid untoward situation in the area, he added.
