DHAKA UNIVERSITY: A 10-member delegation led by founder and coordinator of Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralyzed (CRP) Valerie Taylor met vice-chancellor of University of Dhaka Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique at in his office Wednesday.
The delegation comprises Dr MA Quader, Principal of the Bangladesh Health Professions Institute (BHPI) run by CRP, Djenana Jalovcic, Director at ICACBR, Queen`s University, Canada, Darko Krznaric, Dr Jane Cronin-Davis York St John University, UK Deputy Director, Research Centre for Occupation in Mental Health Chair and BHPI institute officials.
During the meeting, they discussed over various issues, including caring, developing the standard of caring and creating higher education opportunity for the autistic children.
The delegation also urged for cooperation of Dhaka University to introduce a masters program on Occupational Therapy at BHPI.
In reply, the vice chancellor assured them to collaborate in this regard.
The vice chancellor also thanked the guests for coming to the university and their compassion about education.
