Language veteran Saha dies

FARIDPUR: A language veteran and senior ophthalmologist of Faridpur Dr. Nanigopal Saha died of a heart attack on Thursday evening.

He was 81.

He left behind his wife, two sons, a daughter and a host of relatives, friends and admirers to mourn his death.

Dr. Shaha participated in the language movement in 1952 while he was a student of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.

He also took part in all progressive movements in the sixties.

His body was kept in the Faridpur Diabetic Hospital mortuary.

He will be cremated later after arrival of his two sons from India.
