DHAKA: Armed Forces Division invited BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and its acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir to Iftar party to be held on August 6 at Senakunja of Dhaka Cantonment.
The invitation letters were sent to Khaleda Zia and Fakhrul Islam on Saturday evening, party sources said.
Earlier in the afternoon, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also the ruling Awami League President, invited acting secretary-general of the party to an Iftar party to be hosted on August 1.
An invitation card was delivered to the party’s central office in city’s Naya Paltan on Saturday afternoon.
The Iftar party will be held at the PM’s official residence Gana Bhaban in honour of political leaders, professionals and eminent personalities of the country.
