1 killed under train wheels in B’baria

BRAHMANBARIA: A minor was crushed under the wheels of a train in Mogra area under Akhaura upazila of the district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Alamgir, 6, son of Kala Mia of the area and a class I student of Ikra Ideal Kindergarten.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Officer-in-Charge of Akhaura Railway Thana Hasnat Khandaker said, “A Dhaka-bound Shubarna Express train crushed him while he was crossing the rail-line, leaving him injured critically.”

Locals rushed him to Upazila Health Complex where duty doctor declared him dead.

The OC added that an unnatural death case was filed with the thana in this connection.
