CHITTAGONG : At least four police men including an Officer-in-Charge were injured as some miscreants swooped on them in Barodona area under Satkania Upazila of the port city on Friday.
Police held four miscreants in this connection.
Injured Officer-in-Charge of Satkania Thana Khaled Hossain told banglanews that some miscreants attacked on police personnel as police, acting on a tip-off, arrived in the spot knowing that some miscreants of an organization named ‘Tiger Club’ were showing off arms to inflict a clash in the area, leaving police personnel injured.
The other three injured were Sub-Inspector (SI) Md Murad, constable Kansi and Md Farhad.
The Tiger club, which does not have any approval, was established by Ahmed Chairman, who was killed in RAB cross-fire. It is allegedly operating terrorist activities in the area, the OC added.
The OC also said that police held four miscreants following the incident.
A case was undergoing to be filed in this connection, he added.
