DHAKA: President Zillur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina exchanged Eid greetings with people of all walks of life including leaders and workers of Bangladesh Awami League and its associate organisations as well as diplomats and judges on the Eid-ul-Fitr Day.
The president exchanged greetings with government officials, politicians, diplomats, civilians and people of all walks at his official residence in city’s Bangabhaban in the morning.
Among others, Chief Justice Md Mozzammel Hossain, ministers including Planning Minister Air Vice Marshal (retd) AK Khandoker, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Barrister Shafiq Ahmed, Communication and Railway Minister Obaidul Quader, Home Minister Advocate Sahara Khatun, Food and Disaster Management Minister Dr Abdur Razzak, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, advisers to the Prime Minister including HT Imam, Dr Modasser Ali, Dr Toufiq-Elahi Chowdhury and Dr Mashiur Rahman and sate ministers including Advocate Quamrul Islam joined the reception.
He urged all to work together for advancing Bangladesh towards prosperity being rejuvenated with the happiness of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister also exchanged Eid greetings with leaders and workers of Bangladesh Awami League, its associate bodies and people from all walks of life at her official residence at Ganobhaban.
PM`s sister Sheikh Rehana, daughter Saima Hossain, other family members, cabinet members and senior leaders of Awami League are present on the occasion.
