Stocks witness mixed Thursday

DHAKA: Both the country’s bourses witnessed mixed trend in share-price indices on Thursday.

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index shed over six points to stand at 4,174 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 74,006 with transaction at Tk 2,258 million.

Of the issues traded, 125 advanced, 109 declined and 30 remained unchanged.

BEXIMCO topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 244 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were UNIQUEHRL, UNITEDAIR, GP, KEYACOSMAT, GBBPOWER, SUMMITPOWER, BXPHARMA, ENVOYTEX and NBL.

Besides, Chittagong Stocks’ Selective Categories Index rose over 17 points to stand at 8,121.

Out of the issues traded, 70 gained, 91 declined and 17 remained unchanged.
