Security at BUET beefed up

DHAKA: Police filed a case against Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) student, Shibir cadre Aminul Bin Khalid on Sunday.

The law enforcing team of BUET held a meeting hearing about the news of students’ involvement with Shibir published on bangalnews.

Sufficient security and surveillance measures have been taken in order to prevent Jamaat-Shibir from creating unrest on the campus.
         
Earlier, police raided Room No108 of Shibir cadre Amin Bin Khaled of Ahsanullah Hall. They seized locally made lethal arms, Jehadi books from the room and sensing the appearance of police, Khaled fled away.

Shafiqul Islam student of Civil Engineering department of BUET was arrested.   

Lalbagh Thana Deputy Commissioner Harun-ur-Rashid told banglanews that general students gave tracing of 59 Shibir students, including e-mail and facebook.

He added: “We found them guilty in the investigation and police collected their list.”
