BD journos to visit Tipai Dam

DHAKA: The Indian government has taken an initiative to take the journalists from Bangladesh for visiting the much-talked- about Tipaimukh Dam area.

The foreign ministry has prepared a list of eight journalists on request of India.

Director General of External Publicity Wing of Foreign Ministry Syed Masud Mahmud Khandaker confirmed the matter to banglanews.
 
He said some 10 journalists from eight media outlets have been selected. Of them, two are cameramen of two television channels.

Another source of foreign ministry said India itself has made a list of the journalists and informed it to Bangladesh. As per the list, the foreign ministry has selected the journalists.

India has taken the initiative in a bid to prevent negative publicity about Tipaimukh Dam.

Banglanews Diplomatic Correspondent has visited Tipaimukh Dam area as the first Bangladeshi on January.
